BPD-MS is a set of self-report measures that assess the impact of blood pressure dysregulation (BPD) on the health-related quality of life (HRQOL) and the daily activities of adult Veterans and non-Veterans with spinal cord injury. BPD-MS was developed through a collaborative, multi-site Veterans Affairs Research and Development Service-sponsored research project. This measurement system was constructed as a psychometrically-sound and clinically-relevant measurement tool to capture the impact that BPD has on health-related quality of life in adults with spinal cord injury. BPD-MS is comprised of item banks and short forms that evaluate the impact of high blood pressure and low blood pressure on those with SCI. BPD-MS is intended for use in clinical research and clinical practice.

BPD-MS consists of three item banks (and their associated short forms) which evaluate how symptoms felt by individuals with SCI, including autonomic dysreflexia (AD) and low blood pressure (LBP), affect HRQOL and daily activities.
